The Black Book of Colours is a really awesome book that has words but also has braille. It has multiple colors throughout the book, even though it is in all black. It touches your heart because it allows blind children to see color.
The illustrations of this book are in all black, and are in braille. It is so neat to be able to see not only the words in braille, but also the pictures. I think that this is a story about a blind little boy that uses his other senses to describe color throughout the book. Rosana Faria is a very talented illustrator.
This book is for grades Kindergarten to Eighth. I think that this book would best be used to teach about blindness and how we can use other senses to describe things other than by just looking at them. This book is so cool to show how a blind boy is able to see things. I think that children would love to be able to look at the book and touch the braille.

  1. I love the idea of this book! The fact that it also has braille for those students that may not be able to see if amazing. I think that this book could do an awesome job exposing students to a very different point of view- the one without eyesight at all.
