Book Title: Aquarium
Author and Illustrator: Cynthia Alonso
Publisher: Chronicle Books
Copyright: 2018
Genre: Children's Literature
Pages: 40
Standard: ALEX Ecosystems: Interactions, Energy, and Dynamics 7

Aquarium is a book about a young girl who visits the water wearing a red fish dress. She loves to sit and see the the fish in the water. She tries to take the fish home with her but it does not end up working the way she wants.
The book Aquarium is wordless, so it is literally based on illustrations. The book is very detailed in illustrations to be able to convey the story. Cynthia Alonso does an excellent job of telling the story about the little girl through her drawings.
This book could be used to introduce the interaction of animals and their ecosystems. The girl takes the fish out of the pond and takes it home with her, but the fish jumps out of the water at the girls house. Once the fish jumps out of water the girl knows that he belongs back at the pond. This book could show that fish belong in ponds, but can also be expanded into other places such as rivers,  oceans, lakes, etc.
