Harry and Horsie is a book about a little boy, Harry, and his stuffed horse, Horsie. Wherever Harry goes, Horsie does too. That is until they play with the Super Duper Bubble Blooper, and Horsie gets taken to space. Harry heads to space too to find Horsie.
The illustrations in this book do a wonderful job of showing the transition from Earth to space. The illustrations remind me of a comic book illustration. Lincoln Agnew was able to create a fun view for children to see this story through.
Harry and Horsie is appropriate for grades Kindergarten and First. This book could be used for teaching the importance of sticking together. This book could also be used for a writing lesson to ask the children what they would do if their favorite toy got sent to space. I think that this book is a super cute way of demonstrating friendship.
This book sounds like a super fun read! I think the comic book vibe in the illustrations will interest tons of readers. I love how you provided an opportunity for the students' to write a narrative based off of what they have read. I think that is an awesome way to get students' geared and eager to write.
