Nonfiction Book Blog #12

Book Title: My Journey to the Stars
Author:  Scott Kelly
Illustrator: Andre Ceolin
Publisher: Random House Children's Books
Copyright: 2017
Genre: Nonfiction
Pages: 48

My Journey to the Stars is an autobiography by Steve Kelly. Steve talks about his childhood, and eventually how he became interested in being an astronaut. He talks about his journey through life that leads him to the stars. How will Kelly's journey end in this book?
The illustrations in this book are totally awesome! Ceolin was able to make a picture book that has drawings while including real pictures from Steve Kelly's life. The illustrations follow through Kelly's journey and are out of this world!
My Journey to the Stars would best be used in Second to Fourth grade. This book could be used to introduce autobiographies to children. It could also be used to talk about how people survive in space, and the effects that space can have on the body.  I think that this book is so neat and would have a great appeal to children.
