Chicken Little is a story about a little chicken that encounters an acorn and thinks that the sky is falling. This book is a retell of the original chicken little that leads Chicken Little and his friends to run away from the sky and right into a surprise.
The illustrations in this book kind of look like they were made using pieces of construction paper. They are very neat and would be appealing to children.
This book could be used in a second grade classroom. I would get the children to read the book, and discuss if that is how they think that gravity really works. I would have Gifted students research gravity and tell if that is how it works to the rest of the class to see if their predictions were correct. I think this is a classic book that would have the children giggling.
